We had a few stops on our own private beaches in Croatia. This tea and biscuits stop on Brač Island was particularly fine one, with excellent stone skimming opportunities to accompany the view. A worthy winner!

Venice had to sneak in to a top 5 somewhere. A great picnic lunch by the sea.
#2 Traffic Free Cycle Routes
December 4th – Friday feeling or late night shopping?
#2 on our list is the Saar cycle way in Germany. There’s a great horseshoe bend for river photography and in our experience it is always sunny there. Only go as far as Saarbrucken though, not at all pretty there.

#3 Breskens to Slaus in the Netherlands. Great beaches, amazing cycle routes, lovely town for a picnic lunch by a canal. Love cycling in the Netherlands.

Behind door number 2 is the canal path that runs from Bruges to Ghent in Belgium. would definitely recommend this for cyclists of all abilities.
